expression of life

We are experiencing a hot spell right now...
a little uncommon for this time of year.
Soon enough there will be a chill in the air,
and the leaves will fall from the trees.

I wonder if this will be a year of fabulous
autumn color or more a drab brownish ending
of another year.

Whatever is the case, decay is just another
expression of life... a promise of
rejuvenation and new beginnings.
