delight for the soul...

always the science teacher... :)
This is a shot I took of pink orchids some few years back.
I was looking over some of my archive
looking for captures that might
translate well into black and white...
color can, if used correctly,
almost carry an image by itself,
but a good black and white
relies so much more on light... shadows, etc.
Not all images lend themselves
to a good black and white.
I thought this one fit the bill.
Then I decided to give it a proper frame with double mat.
