broken

We live in a complicated world.

So many choices, so many sale schemes...
all to cater to our wants and desires,
and to make us think we are
getting the best possible deal.

When, in reality the best deal
is to buy only what we need.

Even then, because of this
broken world
(a human creation)...
we now have “needs”
we never had before.

I long for a simpler life.

Until then, it is imperative
that we develop an inner peace
that only comes from an intimate
lasting relationship with God.

Without that peace and joy
we run a very real risk
of becoming broken ourselves.
