center of activity

We have quite a few animals
which frequent this spot
in our backyard.

Oddly enough, quite a few times,
the animals take shifts.

Yes, sometimes it is a mix
of different animals,
and, of course, different species of birds.

On more than one occasion, however,
we see the whitetail deer stop by,
wild turkeys, and then, like above,
mostly a gray squirrel convention.

Different bird species seem to
congregate at other times.

Predominately mourning doves,
or starlings, or bluejays...
or even cardinals take their turn.

I used to chase the starlings away...
heavy masses of them...
not my favorite bird.

However I have learned to be patient...

they take their turn and leave,
about as quickly as they appeared.

God plays no favorites
and provides for them all,
so who am I to pick and choose.
