Sunday, May 21, 2006.

What did we ever do without air conditioning,
computers, cell phones, microwaves, etc.?
How could our grandparents and their grandparents
ever have been content without all
the modern conveniences we have today?
What level of contentment have these
things brought us?

I don't think that the number of contented folks
vs the number of discontented
has changed from then to now.

It isn't how much we have, what we have,
or who we are.

True contentment is casting all your cares
upon Him who cares for you,
and know that He has, and will
(now and forever)
provide for your every need,
care for you,
and bless you beyond measure.

Dear Father,
help us every day to become
a bit more like Jesus
and a bit closer to You, our Lord.
