dress-up

So many times we play dress-up.

We try to be someone we are not
most often to impress others.
No matter how hard we try
we remain firmly rooted...
our “soles” unchanged.

“And all of us, as with unveiled face,
[because we] continued to behold

as in a mirror the glory of the Lord,
are constantly being transfigured
into His very own image
in ever increasing splendor
