superstition
and faith
This very cute black cat, named Ebony,
crossed my path as I wandered
down the aisle of a shop.
Ebony stopped long enough for me to pet it,
but when I tried to take its picture,
it had already decided to continue on its way.
The area was rather dark for taking a photo
and my flash hasn't been cooperating of late.
Still, I managed, after a bit of photo editing,
to produce this rather eerie image.

Superstition has no substantial basis
nor are its conclusions based on logical deductions.
Faith, on the other hand,
is based on an established confidence.
“Faith is a happy resting
in the all-sufficiency of what Christ
did on the cross,
what He is doing now in our heart,
and what He promises to do for us forever.”
-
John Piper
“If
a black cat crosses your path,
it signifies that the animal is going somewhere.”
- Groucho Marx
it signifies that the animal is going somewhere.”
