October 18, 2010 (October's Party)

I took a walk today
through a woods bordering a lake.
The wind was blowing and the sun was shining.
Turning my camera skyward,
I captured these leaves
as they were dancing in the wind.

"October gave a party;
The leaves by hundreds came -
The Chestnuts, Oaks, and Maples,
And leaves of every name.
The Sunshine spread a carpet,
And everything was grand,
Miss Weather led the dancing,
Professor Wind the band."
