Growing together in the Spirit of Jesus Christ...

"Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another - and all the more as you see the Day approaching." - Hebrews 10:25 NIV

as portrayed by Bill Shook
spreading the seeds of revival

“Johnny Appleseed, born John Chapman
(September 26, 1774 – February 18, 1845),
was an American pioneer nurseryman
who introduced apple trees to
large parts of Ohio, Indiana, and Illinois.
He became an American legend while still alive,
largely because of his kind and generous ways,
his great leadership in conservation,
and the symbolic importance of apples.
He was also a missionary for the Church
of the New Jerusalem, or Swedenborgian Church,
so named because it teaches the theological doctrines
contained in the writings of Emanuel Swedenborg.”

So, not only did he spread appleseeds
but he also spread the Word.

“I have but one passion: It is He, it is He alone.
The world is the field and the field is the world;
and henceforth that country shall be my home
where I can be most used
in winning souls for Christ.”
- Count Nicolaus Ludwn Zinzendorf

“He answered,
‘The one who sowed the good seed
is the Son of Man.
The field is the world,
and the good seed stands for
the sons of the kingdom.’”
- Matthew 13:37,38 NIV
