and up by 5:00.
While sitting in the dark in the living room,
While sitting in the dark in the living room,
it was one of those rather quiet moments…
no refrigerator noise,
no traffic on the street outside,
no traffic on the street outside,
no furnace or water softener noise…
only the low, quiet, tick tock of the clock.
Looking out the bay window up at the sky,

my thoughts turned to the second coming of Jesus Christ.
The stars were brightly shining
The stars were brightly shining
in the heavens.
I was still, attentive, and I was ready.
But what if He came when I was not ready?

What if He came when I was doing something
less than pleasing to the Him.

by being ever mindful of the Lord.
Remember that His coming is closer,
