Growing together in the Spirit of Jesus Christ...

"For I long to visit you so I can bring you some spiritual gift that will help you grow strong in the Lord. When we get together, I want to encourage you in your faith, but I also want to be encouraged by yours." - Romans 1:11,12 NLT

serving two masters

Amphibian: A cold-blooded vertebrate
that spends part of its life in water
and part of its life on land.

"Scientists now fear
that the largest species mass extinction
since the dinosaurs
will likely happen in our time
and among the most endangered
are amphibians including frogs..."
- Author Unknown
(listed in "Science")

If true, perhaps, there is a message here for us.
We must stop trying to serve two masters
and decide whether to serve the Lord completely
or to remain with part of our soul still submerged
and linked to worldly pursuits.

"Humans are amphibians -
half spirit and half animal.
As spirits they belong to the eternal world,
but as animals they inhabit time."
- C. S. Lewis

"No one can serve two masters.
Either he will hate the one and love the other,
or he will be devoted to the one
and despise the other."
- Matthew 6:24 NIV

Before you comment... please remember that all praise belongs to God. If however you wish to offer encouragement and/or support I will be greatly appreciative. Let us continue to encourage and support one another as we all grow together in the Spirit of Jesus Christ. :)
